Long before the introduction of current religious implications, before the time of written history, crosses were important to Indigenous people. The cross can be found carved on stone petroglyphs and on ancient artifacts made of stone, shell and clay. It appears abundantly in many designs created by the Ancient Ones. It was, and still is of great ceremonial importance.
All of Grey Eagle's carvings go through fire and water blessings and a sacred moon ceremony. Each has a sending side and a receiving side and can be worn either way.
This extraordinary carving honors the four directions, East, West, North and South.
Carved from Beyond Rainbow SPS, this amulet is strung on brown leather cord and features glass beads, with a bead in the back for length adjustment.
