"Artifacts of the Future" Room 2
Grey Eagle uses a special formula that he developed to "mudd include" some of his artifact re-creations.  This technique sets the mudd in the stone permanently, giving the appearance of age.  All of his carvings are created with traditional tools, very similar to those used by his Grandmother Head and Great Grandmother Bird.  All of his carvings are created in the manner that he was taught as a child.

Grey Eagle's heredity comes from Bird Clan on his Mother's side, and Wolf Clan on his Father's side.  He often depicts birds in his ceremonial works.

CHARM STONES
Charm stones have been revered by Indigenous people for thousands of years.  They are believed to possess magical powers, and they are worn for protection and good fortune.  Charm stones have been found in a variety of shapes and sizes.  They are often worn as pendants or made into other articles of jewelry.

Gorgets were (and still are) worn for adornment.  Many were used in high ceremony for special occassions.  They may be tied with sinew or hung with a leather thong to be worn around the neck.
